4/26/2012 - Trip to Rotary Park and Hillcrest Park

At lunch yesterday, I drove passed this beautiful park with large trees and a lot of open space. When metal detecting it's always nice to find parks with large old trees because you have a better chance of finding something old. That was not the case at Rotary Park, It was very trashy and I was picking up pull tabs with every step. I only found a few coins and all were on the surface. I decided to go back to Hillcrest Park where I found my silver quarter and 3 silver rings. It turn out to be a decent haul. The little necklace piece says 18KGP on it, meaning 18 karat gold plated. A couple other rings and one silver ring made the hunt enjoyable.
